With over 15+ years of experience in technology delivery and leadership experience, Denella currently leads the implementation of conversational AI powered Asynchronous Messaging platform and Generative AI capabilities for RBC’s advice center, enhancing digital communication with clients and making RBC the first financial institution in Canada to launch an Asynchronous messaging channel.
Denella began her career as a software developer and quickly advanced into solution design, data architecture, and strategy. She established a data analytics team for Retail Banking and Payments Technology, focusing on Home Equity Financing and Regulatory Strategy. As Director of Data Strategy at I&TS Data Management Office, she executed strategies to democratize data for better decision-making and introduced conversational AI initiatives.
Passionate about empowering women in the tech industry, Denella advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of technology. Through mentorship programs, workshops, and community initiatives within the Women in Technology and operations ERG- Tech PowHer subcommittee within RBC, she strives to inspire the next generation of female technologists and innovators.
